Christy and Southwest Gas |

It is save to say that Southwest Gas had a part in Christy's life before she was ever employed there.. some of this is because Alice was an employee but also because the company provided some great memories to my friends and I without knowing years later they would gain a great employee. Southwest Gas sponsored the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon in Victorville for several years while we were in high school and 1 year Christy, myself, Shelly, Julie, Scott and other friends participated in this event and typically had some great memories attached. Some of us did this event for several years in a row. Since it took us several hours to complete each time we did it, we got to talk about many things.. life.. family.. dreams.. you name it, while we walked and wore 'those' shirts! While we were grateful for their generosity, we were not so happy about wearing those yellow, brown and orange (or as Christy nicknamed 'hippy 70's') shirts! :-) If I can dig out a photo.. I certainly will post it!
Later on, when Christy went to work for Southwest Gas she would tell me all about her co-workers, how things were going and how she enjoyed her job. I've even met some of you prior to her passing and you all were so nice. She really loved each and every one of you and I wanted you all to know that you were very special to her. As you all know, finding a good work environment can be very difficult and when you can come to work and have a good time and smile - it is priceless. That being said, your work buddies are your second family because you see them everyday! I hope you all are doing well and I felt compelled to write to thank you for the friendship, love and support that you gave Christy during your time with her.
