Christy and Southwest Gas | Posted on : Jan 22, 2009 by Katie |
It is save to say that Southwest Gas had a part in Christy's life before she was ever employed there.. some of this is because Alice was an employee but also because the company provided some great memories to my friends and I without knowing years later they would gain a great employee. Southwest Gas sponsored the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon in Victorville for several years while we were in high school and 1 year Christy, myself, Shelly, Julie, Scott and other friends participated in this event and typically had some great memories attached. Some of us did this event for several years in a row. Since it took us several hours to complete each time we did it, we got to talk about many things.. life.. family.. dreams.. you name it, while we walked and wore 'those' shirts! While we were grateful for their generosity, we were not so happy about wearing those yellow, brown and orange (or as Christy nicknamed 'hippy 70's') shirts! :-) If I can dig out a photo.. I certainly will post it! |
