I met Christy at Southwest Gas...she and I worked the Commercial Desk as a team and she sat right across from me in the next cubicle. We managed to get our work done, but, at the same time we had so much fun.
Like the time that she was moving into her new house and how we talked about pink flamingos in people's yards and how much she hated them. Well....myself and several of our friends made sure that we found some pink flamingos and planted them in the front yard of her new home. She was horrified when she came home that night but, we all had a good laugh. That was Christy for you!
Christy HATED small paper clips. I made sure that I flung every small paper clip that I got over the top of the cubicle onto her desk. We laughed. That was Christy for you!Christy told us the story about how she was driving down the street and there was a lot of traffic. Instead of saying, "Who left the barn gate opened?", she said, "Who let the cows out?". She was such a nut. We laughed again!! That was Christy for you!Christy said she could never figure out why someone would say, "It dawned on me", meaning it came to my mind. She could never figure out who Don Don was and what Don Don had to do with anything. We laughed again.
I miss Christy alot, but, I sure have a lot of Christyisms that keep her in my heart every day. I miss her smile and giggles which brightened the day! What a wonderful person she was and those Christyisms mean the world to me.
