I recall Christy and I taking the kids to see Cheaper by the Dozen on Jan 2nd. The kids
all sat in one row while she and I sat behind
them. At one point, about half way through the movie, Alyssa became a little restless.
She slowly and casually slithered her way into
our row and climbed up on her mommy's lap, linking her arms tightly around Christy's
neck, settling into a comfy spot. In the dark,
I could not actually see them in detail, only the image of their silhouette and never
imagining the events that would unfold the next
evening. Six years later, I recall that image vividly and realize that even though we
can't see Christy in detail, she is still nearby the
special people in her life, especially the girls.
