This Halloween for some reason, I remembered your early Halloween party at Jennifer Walter?s house. You wanted to be a witch. We picked out material and went to work sewing. At every turn, you wanted to try on your costume and couldn?t wait for it to be done. We drew a big spider web with silver glitter on your cape and you were giddy with excitement. Then came the makeup and we made a big ugly nose. I had to talk you into leaving it on until you got you then party because it was heavy and ?itchy? you said. You won first prize for your costume even though the nose came off as soon as you got in the door! we?ve kept that dress and cape all these years and as you know it is a traditional decoration to hang in the corner with a plastic pumpkin head.
